4 Upcoming Events in Pigeon Forge You Don’t Want to Miss

You definitely want to keep up with what’s going on in Pigeon Forge since there are so many events happening throughout the year! We’ve gathered some events that are going to happen soon, and you definitely don’t want to miss out! You’ll find some the whole family will love, whether you’re a local or a tourist coming in for vacation. Check out these 4 upcoming events in Pigeon Forge you don’t want to miss:

1. Bloomin’ BBQ & Bluegrass Festival (May 17-18)

Every year, you’ll find the Bloomin’ BBQ & Bluegrass Festival right outside the Sevierville Courthouse. One of the best parts about this event is that it’s free! You don’t have to pay an admission fee to enjoy this lively festival! They block off roads next to the courthouse, allowing people who signed up for the barbeque tasting contest to set up stations so people can taste their pulled pork and vote on their favorite. You’ll also find local artists set up to sell things they’ve created. Some huge names in bluegrass will also be at the festival, including Phil Leadbetter and Love Canon. Plus, there’s a singing competition where you can choose one of Dolly Parton’s songs to sing!

2. Sleep With the Sharks at Ripley’s Aquarium (June 8)

What kid can’t resist the sound of a slumber party with sharks? At Sleep With the Sharks at Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, you’ll arrive at the aquarium and put your things away, then go over rules and have a warm up game to get to know the other people in the group. You’ll get to watch a dive show where a scuba diver goes in the tank with the sharks. Everyone gets to participate in a scavenger hunt throughout the aquarium, which will be a ton of fun! You’ll sleep in the Shark Lagoon Tunnel, watching the fish swim over you until you fall asleep. The next day includes learning more about the animals, and then you can tour the aquarium if you want! Your kids will love this event!

3. A Night at the Titanic Museum (June 15, 22, 29)

See the Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge in a whole new way! A Night at the Titanic Museum will be so fun, your whole family will want to do it again! Starting at 8 pm, you will receive a Titanic flashlight. Members of the crew will lead you around the museum, where you’ll go through the building like a maze and learn about the legends and myths of the ship. You and your family will definitely want to come back and see the museum like this again!

4. Thrills in the Hills (July 12-13)

Have you wondered what goes on behind the scenes at Dollywood with the roller coasters? Now you can get a glimpse at Thrills in the Hills ! You’ll learn all kinds of cool stuff and get exclusive ride time, plus you’ll get to taste some of the food the park is known for! On Friday night, you’ll check in and go to a special reception. Saturday morning you’ll go on the tour to learn about the different roller coasters and what goes on when they aren’t on the track. At the end of the event, you’ll get a t-shirt and some other items to remember the weekend!
